Tight feeling

I am 2weeks post op and incision looks good. I feel a tightness that extends a little toward my neck. Anyone else have this during recovery?

Scar tissue is the issue

Scar tissue is not a stretch-y as the original tissue. A feeling of tightness, or drawing is normal, but to facilitate your return to normal use of your shoulder and arm, gentle stretching exercises are a good idea.

Angry Sparrow's directions are excellent. They'll help you get the best results.

Glad to hear the healing is going well.

Having the same issue

I'm about 3 weeks post op and am having similar experiences. Tightness / spasms at the sight, up the neck and some sharp pains sometimes under my arm and around the breast. I'm still afraid to use my left arm much (side of the PM). It's confusing as to how much movement or range is safe. I'm looking forward to the 4 week mark but have heard that it's best to wait until the 6 week time to move normally....Does anyone know if it's OK to use a heating pad on you chest or over the PM?

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
