Has anyone else experienced needle like sensations at the pacemaker implant site? Mine feels dozens of pins stabbing me. I called the cardio office and talked to them and they told me they have never had anyone with those symptoms. They only happen at work because there is a furnace/generator room by my work area and my employer is remodeling and they leave the door open all the time. I can get away from it most of the time, but when I can't the needles start again. Docs office doesn't seem concerned but I am wondering if this is causing damage besides being annoyingly painful.
Anybody have any thoughts?

Some of us have felt it. It's most likely the nerves knitting back together. It used to feel like "ant bites" to me. It should stop within 6 months or so after your surgery.

If yours only happens at work by the generator room it's possible it is something else, dunno. Try and take note if it happens at all when you are away from work.

i have experienced slight pinching. my doc said it is normal - body adjusting to leads and settling in as grateful heart also stated in note above. fyi. im 5 weeks out.

Be careful by the EMI. If your heart starts racing and you get a cold sweet you are to close to the EMI.

With me it only lasts a few seconds but I'll have a few episodes for a couple of days and then nothing for months.

I have never correlated the sensation with any outside conditions or place.

Electromagnetic fields are strange things. They can be very strong in one area and nonexistent a couple of feet away. And they can come through walls.They loose intensity quickly as you move away (sometimes just a foot or two) from whatever is generating them, but unless some kind of shielding is in place walls or doors don't stop them. Fortunately though, your PM is shielded.

Some people are sensitive to EMF and feel prickling or skin-crawling sensations. I don't doubt your experience, but I do doubt if the door being open or shut is making much difference.
