Second pm, first post

had my second pm installed 5 days ago and just found this site. Still sore and having trouble finding comfy sleep position, but overall the experience is MUCH easier second time around. Now just watching for signs of infection and waiting to be able to have a REAL shower :)

Hi, Glad to hear your 2nd experience went so well. I know what you mean about the shower! I couldn't wait to take one after my implant (I just got my first one about 3 months ago).

You have come to the right place. This group is very friendly and supportive and has really helped me deal with having to get a PM, especially the mental part.

I'm glad you posted about your experience for two reasons:

1) You found us!!!

and

2) I and everyone else will eventually have to go through getting a 2nd pacemaker and it is SO nice to know that it is going to be much easier.

Hope by now that you've been able to have your shower and/or have found a comfortable way to sleep.

So glad you posted you decided to post your experience of receiving a second pm. I feel the same as Pookie it is a relief to know the second time around can be much simpler.

I pray you continue to get better and can have your nice hot soapy all over shower soon. I remember when I could shower and how wonderful it was. It was nice to get in there and shampoo my own hair instead of having others do it for me.
