just wondering if I should call device clinic

I went for a routine check (interrogation and rate adjustment) last week. I had all but forgotten about the pacemaker being there 8 weeks after insertion since I was active and feeling good after a week or two of adjustment time. The nurse adjusted the PM so that it would "last longer" not activate as much. She said I was doing evry well and just using the PM 20% of the time. I am howver concerned because I feel a little different since the adjustment. I feel like I sense skipping beats and am a little breathless at times- just not as good as I was. Is this enough concern to all in and have another check whe I was not scheduled until December?

adjustment

I learned the hard wa, that after every PM adjustment, I feel different and sometimes a little worse. After they turned off the ventricle lead I felt a lot worse, for about two-three months. And then, I felt a LOT better.

Your heart, in fact your whole body, has to adjust and that takes time.

If you're only noticing small changes, I'd say give it a few weeks and see how it goes.

Just my opinion.

Remote Monitoring?

If you have remote monitoring you might want to call your tech and ask him to check you report.

call

If you feel different, and not in a good way, since they changed it then call and ask them to change it again, esp if your next appointment isn't for 5 months. After the first 6-8 weeks, the heart has had a chance to get used to pacing and the leads are more secure so it's common to turn down the juice in order to save battery. Sometimes they turn off other features they think you are not using. Sounds like you might need one of them turned back on!

You know you're wired when...

You have the perfect reason to show off your chest.
