thanks for response

yes I mis-spoke when I said harness, meant sling. My cardio. is pretty old school from what I can tell...he wanted me in sling x 7 days until wound exam. having medical background and info. resources (and a bit of common sense) i'm not buying into it. started "appropriate exercises". Shoulder is most definitely impinged and will now have to work at getting r.o.m. Wish more attention paid to post. pm. issues.brent

Questioning is a good thing

I only wore my sling for 4 nights only. I have a tendency to put my arms above my head and it prevented that. But after those 4 nights it went in the closet.

Gentle motion is great. Also if your arm has stiffened up you might try arm movements in a nice hot shower.

Your cardiologist should retire !

Hi Brent I'm glad that you haven't bought into it ! It is now accepted that a sling is a very bad idea after having a PM implant.

Wearing one for any period is likely to increase the chances of developing frozen shoulder. For optimum and rapid recovery , shoulder movement should be encouraged

Cheers

You know you're wired when...

You prefer rechargeable batteries.

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
