Hello everyone, I have a challenge. I have had my PM now for 13 weeks, and I thought that I was going well.
Now I've noticed over the passed week or so that I have becomes overly sensitive to cellphones, laptops cordless phones any thing you can think possible. I have also been feeling like electric shocks in my fingers. and a burning heavy sensation in my chest. I had the PM checked yesterday and the tech said that it was working well. I have to travel for work soon, and most flights have wifi. Its all really uncomfortable. Any ideas on what to do next. I'm suffering. Foxy.

Coincidence , maybe?
by Tick-tock - 2014-07-02 11:07:08
My first thought is that it may not be sensitivity to the electronics; however, maybe a coincidence. Im leaning towards a nerve and pocket issue. Is it possible that you have an issue where your pocket was placed, causing the heavy chest sensation? As far as the tingly feeling you have in your fingers, you may have a pinched nerve possibly even caused from the pm placement or issue dislodging?? Since technology is all around us, and practically impossible to avoid it may just be coincidence you notice it more while around laptops and so forth... Just some food for thought.
Personally, I have experienced a few episodes where I felt I had some interaction ... But interrogations say otherwise :) i try not to dwell .. I use cell phones constantly for work, computer, lap top, kindle, and fall asleep with my iPad to my chest every night. I'm still alive :)
I hope you are able to find comfort soon

Thanks for all your comments, but I saw a doctor today who mentioned that I may have a problem with calcium and electrical impulses. My bones hurt a lot when I am near electrical appliances. unfortunately for me. I have calcium build up in the walls of my arteries so I can take more calcium.I am in a fix with this Does any one know about this senario? .Foxy.
electric shocks

What you're feeling is real, but you might be mistaken about the cause.
Subsequent to a broken wrist, I developed pinched nerves in my arms and hands. Even after corrective surgery, I need to be careful how I rest my left hand and arm as I use the computer, or I can set off that electric shock feeling in my fingers that you are talking about.
My problem clearly resulted from the way my wrist was casted, but pInched nerves can seem to come on out of the blue, and the cause can be located anywhere from your hand to your neck.
A pinched nerve isn't an emergency, but you don't want to let it go indefinitely either. Apparently you're feeling the sensation a lot and it's distressing to you. You need to have it evaluated.
My first choice would be a chiropractor, or osteopath, but if you don't know a good one, an orthopedist.
The heavy, burning feeling in the chest? It can be a symptom of a lot of things, but the most common is heartburn. Again, let a health professional help you sort it out.
Assume you're having a problem with wifi interference after you've eliminated everything else. Hope this helps.
You know you're wired when...
You have a high-tech ticker.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.

I have not had any of these problems, my pacemaker is made of titanium and by, Medtronics. I have had no reaction to anything. So check with your doctor about your device.
