discomfort after pacemaker surgery

I got a pacemaker due to heart block in Nov 2013. Heart test are all normal. I had pain in heart area when lying or bending(post surgery)... discomfort kind of pushes up to throat ..also some pain on deep inspiration. Did lead revisions 3 wks ago.
Apparently going thru all same symptoms again. The revisions did not help symptoms, but I am hopeful with time will improve.
Anyone ever experience anything like this? I am a small person.
Thanks!

Thank you for your reply.
Actually the discomfort over the device area is not my concern... it is expected.
It's mainly in heart area and radiates up toward throat with
Movement.
I am very grateful for this device and my attitude is very good. Again, thanks.

Any chance your pain could be heartburn or GERD related? I would look into taking antacids and see if it helps. Often times when you lay down it tends to make things worse. Just some food for thought. Hope you are able to find and fix the problem quickly!!

I'm 13 and just came home from the hospital yesterday. I notice almost what your saying but it doesn't go up to my throat...its like my heart beats very hard and it causes the most pain for me, not even where I was cut and the pacemaker is in. But the hard beats hurt. Is this some of what your talking about?

Your pacemaker may need to be programed at a different rate....maybe it is pacing too fast for you!
They call it need to be "interrogated"

It's very positional.... when lying down or bending over.
Some of this I've had for 4 months since pacemaker was put in. I've learned to start reclining in very slow intervals.... seems to lessen the discomfort. I guess some things will never go away.... I wish I knew an answer.
Good luck to you!

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
