HI all :-)
The cardio adjusted my lower base rate from 50 bpm to 60 bpm a few weeks ago to make me feel less tired and dizzy - and It helped a lot :-). I am diagnosed with SSS.
But after this adjustment I have startet to cough some times during the day, like I have something In my throat that needs to come out. I feel the need for coughing right after I have felt a "heavy" heartbeat. Before the adjustment I hardly felt this, maybe once a day.
Can this be beacuse I now pace more, and therefore feel the PM more often sending signals to the heart, than I used to on a lower base rate?
Is it something to do about It?
Thanks for all advices ï
Raymond

Thansk for answering Ian :-)
I hope that Pacemaker syndrome Isn't that "Dangerous"?
I don't have to rush to the hospital to check It out?
Raymond :-)
You know you're wired when...
Your pacemaker interferes with your electronic scale.

I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.

If I were you I would seek advice from your pacemaker clinic . Sometimes coughing can be a symptom of the development of "Pacemaker syndrome" where the atrial and ventricular contractions become slightly out of sync,
If this is the case they can adjust various pacing parameters e.g the AV delay which may solve the problem.
Also, some heart drugs have coughing as a side-effect
It may be neither of these things of course, see your PM gurus and they may have other ideas. I can't think why increasing the base rate should cause it but who knows !
Best of luck
Ian
