Not being overweight, what kind of exercise is best now? My doctor suggested only 2 days a week on treadmill, and am not sure why. What do others do? Thanks

Exercise

Prior to pm I attempted running which I love, however am not the best at it. Post pm and ablation I still enjoy running; however my times are much slower. If I run, it is only for approximately 2 -3 miles. I've been having difficulty with tachycardic episodes, and shortness of breath so I have started bicycling. The past couple weeks I am able to ride about 8 miles about 4 days a week and feel pretty good after. 1 day a week I go to the gym and do a body flow class. I have given up on lifting, due to discomfort at pm site.
As stated by KAG it depends what your cardiac issues are, as well as other comorbilities.
My thoughts are I want to live life, I want to enjoy life... For me, that includes working out at my pace (within reason)

Thank you for the input! Yes, other problems (A-Fib & high bp), so think I just need to slow down. Have always heard waling is the best exercise.

I only have CHB, no other health issues, no restrictions, so I go at it hard with my drs blessing. I do Crossfit 5 days a week. I also swim, hike, kayak, bike, ski or whatever looks interesting.
Bumping up the exercise is likely to bring your bp down.
You know you're wired when...
You have a dymo-powered bike.

Would help

to have some more info.
Why do you have a PM? SSS, AVblock, or ?
Do you have any other conditions that would restrict exercise?
Are you on any meds?
If you only have an electrical heart problem then the PM should fix that and unless you have other issues you should be able to do any number of exercises. I like to walk, others swim, bike, run, cross train, etc.... It depends on what you like and how fit you are. If you're not in good shape I'd take it slow and build up.
