icd lead measurements

Hi all
i down loaded my ICD and sent it to the ward the other day and today i received a letter from my icd clinic saying my lead measurements are still on the low side ... this is the first i have heard of this does anyone know what this means ? is it anything to worry about ? any input would be gratefully received

Hi Ian.

Sorry, I don't know what that means. My guess would be the threshold may be low and they may want to adjust your settings so if or when your ICD has to fire it does what it is meant to do???? Again, I'm guessing.

I don't think it is anything to worry about, if you were in any sort of danger I would hope they would have called you and got you to come in right away, but I understand your concern for sure.

Take care and keep us posted as I'd love to know what those terms actually mean too :)

Hey I'm going to try call the clinic again today I don't know about your clinic bit my one closes at the weekend so have been worrying all weekend
thank you for the message I will let you know what they say I hate medical jargon they could have at least said it's nothing to worry about lol

Hi well I found out what it's all about my leads have moved up it's still working as it should for now but I've had my icd in for 2 years the leads don't usually move this much in a short space of time so have to go for an x ray to see if they will have to put new ones in I think it's my fault been doing a lot of heavy lifting with my arms above my head ooops my bad .. have you had any trouble with your one ? X
