I have only had my pacemaker 2 months...I went to get it adjusted for the first time due to feeling tired...the tech raised it almost 20 points...he said I would feel better...is this normal to raise it so high so soon....should it be gradual..anyway within an hour I ended up in the ER! Who do I trust now???

Also, why did you end up in the ER? What was your diagnosis, symptoms - before the implant as well as in the ER?
An update to my new pacemaker story...

Changing a pacemakers pulse rate setting is fairly common but I had questioned the 20 point increase quickly in a few seconds at the doctors office...so my problem with changing my pulse rate from 50 to 70 is to rid me of "pcv's"...it caused me such a rapid heart beat and caused my BP to rise...this is why I had to go to ER...where they had to adjust it to down to 60 ...I feel better but...I do have anxious moments with rapid heartbeats...my cardiologist said I am ok ...guess I am just too new to this sudden lifestyle change...it will take awhile! Prior to this surgery I was doing well and active...the day my heart decided to start "going on vacation"...it was "body jerk" symptoms and my heart was... according to the ER...going into shutdown...it was stopping every 7-10 seconds! My BP was great... I felt great...SCARY!

What do you mean by 20 points? Can you please elaborate?
