hi had my pacemaker installed on feb 18 on discharge got a real bad coughe brought up small amount of flem doctor said it was with medicine change should go away in couple days went to get pacemaker checked 3days later nurse was concerned about cough had doc change med straight away two days later cough was worse and my breathing was laboured lots of gurgling souds but nothing coming off went to emergency clinic they found i had a chest infection got antibiotics bringing lots of stuff now keeping my fingers crossed at 73 can't be too sure

thanks for the suggestion theknotguy every thing helps
starting to feel better got rid of a lot of stuff still got 6days of antibiotics so i can see the light at the end of the tunnel glad i found this site lots of support

23days just finished 10days of antibiotics chest starting to feel better no more cough or flem started to take my dog for his morning walk still have to be careful lots of ice on the sidewalks pm feels fine got a bit of a sweat on vacuuming this morning feels good feeling sorry for myself is going away had the same feeling when i had my quadruple in 2006 still going to take it easy for a couple weeks don't want to go through this again soon

Kinda rough getting a pacemaker and having, in essence, pneumonia. Not a good way to go.
If you can get a pillow, kinda like what we call a "throw" pillow that are used as interior decorations, you can use that when you cough. It will help lessen the pulling and pain when you cough.
