Regarding stress on the leads, I was told that walking was more than ok. Intuitively, it doesn't seem that normal walking pulls upward, and could interfere with the leads accomplishing a secure attachment. I have been very mindful of that. Point is: there are also risks to not walking: weight gain, de-conditioning, loss of flexibility. At 71 it isn't easy to get theses things back. Plus, the walking serves your mental health as well. But I agree: don't be stupid. Be mindful.

Cabg is correct. You don't want the frozen shoulder. It just adds to the overall recovery time.
Keep moving and active. that helps with the recovery. If you look over the site, you'll see people posting after about six months. They're complaining about excessive pain and all sorts of stuff. You can mostly chalk it up to being inactive.
You'll want to take it easy for the first four to six weeks. Then go ahead from there.
