check tomorrow

Will have check 6 month of pm tomorrow morning. What should I expect or ask? Then to see cardiologist immediately after. Was on rythmol but quit 2 months ago on my own because of side effects ( chest pain ,SOB, Joint pain, insomnia. tiredness and depression and final blow -paresthesia of,hands and feet. ) All this is gone. Now feel wonderful, sleep well and can do heavy garden work etc. How shall I tell cardiologist? Trish

Just tell him/her

Just tell the Cardiologist the same thing you wrote here. Tell him/her your side effects, and that you feel better without it.

When they check your PM out, they should see from that how you're doing. You can also ask for a printout of the PM report. They should gladly give you a copy.

Yes, just tell him

The Doctor needs to know if a drug is not working for you. There may be another med that would work without the side effects.

We all know we shouldn't just stop a drug without checking with the Doc first. I guess I am guilty of that myself BUT in my case it was ONLY a statin. I did call 2 Doctors regarding the problem and received no callback from either one, so I took myself off them and after a week or so the aches disappeared.....but I did call.

Trish, it is so good to hear you feel so much better now but please tell your Doc about the meds tomorrow.....very important.

Tell your doctor that you want to follow your ventricular ejection fraction if your ventricular lead bypasses your cardiac conduction system (Google that). Placing the electrode at the His bundle will allow your heart to heal itself if you do experience heart failure due to artificial pacing. The Pacemaker Patient Advocacy Group has a website that explains that (paemakerpatientadvocacy).

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didn’t slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
