5 mile race for my 60th

could not find a race on my actual B-day. So we drove to New Hamspshire for the weekend so we could do a 5 miler the day after. 8-2 We (the wife and I) both ran the fireroad 5 miler in Kingston NH, my time was a little better than I had thought I could do, I really had not been training due to RR issues with my PM. Had a wonderful B-DAY weekend and race, back to the factory tomorrow. Now it is really time to start training for the 100 mile bike ride end of Sept and 1/2 Marathon in October.

As a fellow Medtronic Advisa -wearing runner / cyclist I am interested , do you have RR on or off at the moment ? I have lost track of the various adjustments that you have had.

I must say that I am very impressed by the Rate Optimisation feature of the Advisa . With time, the RR function seems to get better and better as my little titanium friend gets more familiar with my exercise habits and makes appropriate self-adjustments !

Cheers

RR is on,
just minor adjustment made last thursday.

something i did not ask the rep, does it also learn by time? meaning 24 hour cycles, should I be exercising around the same time of day on days I run or ride?

???

I wouldn't think that it makes any difference when you exercise . The inbuilt computer presumably records all of your past exercise history and updates the info , then alters the settings if necessary every 24 hours.

If Inga is around she may add to this

well done!
