feeling a thumping in my chest

Starting three days ago I started feeling a thumping in my chest which seems to be in rhythm with my heartbeat.. started in my right side near the diaphragm. The next day it stopped for a while, then resumed but this time on the lower left side and then it stopped. Today the thumping feels right under the pocket where the CRT is installed. I had an appointment but when the thumping stopped I cancelled it because it was an office I don't usually go too pretty far from my house. I am concerned that the thumping moving around in my chest my be indicative of loose wires and of course it is sat and I can't even call the Dr. Office until Monday.. Any one have this happen?

You haven't said how long you've had the PM. If it's less than 90 days you could be sensitive to your new heartbeat. They have the voltage on the PM turned up for the first 90 days and you get a stronger heartbeat. Plus if it's a new PM you're more aware of your heart and heart actions.

Since you're saying you're getting the thumping with no loss of consciousness, dizzyness, short of breath, fainting, etc. it probably isn't life threatening.

For the first 90 days I was getting a heavier heartbeat, sometimes my left jaw would hurt, and I'd get almost a thumping when I went to bed. After they turned the voltage down after 90 days a lot of those symptoms went away.

Hope this helps.
