Surgery Set!

My surgery to replace my PM is finally set! Thank you especially to TracyE, Theknotguy, BillMFl, and everyone else that has given me advice or answered questions I've had.

I was able to finally get the 4 surgeons to agree on a date to change out this PM. It is currently in my abdomen and I need a cardiothoracic to open and take it out, I have a specialist cardiothoracic to make a side incision, my EP to assist with placement/put in new leads, and plastics to sew up my 3 incisions.

This is going to be a big surgery but I'm really excited. No more low impedance, no more random shocking, no more worries. Recovery is going to really suck with having cut abdominal muscles and be in a sling but I'm ready. I'm ready to go live life again.

Sounds like your drs are a great team and you are in good hands! Good luck to you. When is the big day?

Sling shouldn't be for more than 24-48 hours. If you use it too much your shoulder will freeze up. It's important to move the arm.

Wizard of Oz

The Wizard of Oz (Character) on IMDb: Movies, TV, Celebs, and more... ... Child, you're talking to a man who's laughed in the face of death, sneered at doom, and chuckled at catastrophe... I was petrified.

No need to be petrified. But laughing and sneering are in order.

Get moving as soon as you can post operation.

Hope everything goes well.
