Hello Guys,
My dad had a CRT-D installed last year and for the past 1 month he is experiencing shortness of breath while lying down and also if he walks for more than 5-10mins.
is that sign of pacemaker not working??
Appreciate your perspective so when we see the doctor tomorrow we can check with him as well.
Appreciate your quick feedback.

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.

It's easy to assume everything is the pacer, or that the pacer can fix any problem. The first thing to do is verify that the pm is working correctly, odds are it is. There are a lot of things that can cause shortness of breath, he should be seen by both the cardiologist and GP. Good luck!
