Thanks to all who have replied. I dislocated my right shoulder 40+ years ago and have recently torn it again. I was about to have that surgery done when they found I had a blockage in my LAD. No choice there. I had a stent put in, started on plavix, and told I would be on it for a year and shouldn't have surgery for the first year. I pretty much an an all out exercise kind of guy. I also started following the heart healthy diet religiously from which I attribute a weight loss of about 15 lbs. Following the stent, I was much improved until I redeveloped my afib which was ablated some 15 years ago. It was fairly random and the PCP started me on Multaq. Well that bottomed out my pressure, put me in afib with a heart rate around 24. Off to the ER, the PCP says I have sick syndrome and need a pacemaker. That was 3 weeks ago.
I agree with the trip to the orthopedic doctor and with the therapy. My ortho guy is a shoulder specialist. I meet with the ep on Friday. I will get him to work with the ortho doc and get my some physical therapy right now. I think you are right I do not want it to freeze up on me and really have a job to do.
On the snoring issue I had sleep studies done and they there was no apnea. I was told to adjust my sleeping position to the side. That worked well. I have been told I do not snore when I am on my side.
I appreciate the speedy comments and will report back after my ep visit on Friday.

Summerdog,
I'm pretty much an all out exercise kind of guy too, so I feel your pain. I injured my shoulder but was able to take care of it with physical therapy. I think I would try that route first.
I also snore, but just when I sleep on my back. When I do that my wife kicks me and pushes me over on my side and we are at peace again.
If your heart rate is going down to 24 you are headed for problems, dizziness, passing out etc. I don't think you want to wait too long for a PM.

I'm 43 and have had my pacemaker four weeks today. I'm looking forward to living another 50 years and this marvelous device inside me will help me do that.
Get mouth device

While they say you don't have sleep apnea the heavy snoring isn't good for your partner. In situations like ours, the partner suffers more than we do.
There are mouth devices that will help with the elimination of snoring. I'm thinking it will help two ways, 1) reduction in noise and more sleep for your partner, 2) If you are borderline sleep apnea it will help prevent a possible heart attack, popping a brain blood vessel, or other situation.
After getting my CPAP sleep was so much better they didn't have to persuade me to use it all the time. I've talked with people who choose not to user their CPAP but don't understand why. It isn't worth dying just because you're vain.
Sounds like you've got a plan. Hang in there.
