Submammary implantation surgeon

Am seeking a surgeon in GA or anywhere not too horribly far from GA that does submammary implantation.

If no one has suggestions for such surgeons anywhere near GA, please let me know what surgeon you did use, where he is, and if you were happy with the implantation.

Thank you.

submammary

Mine was put in submammary by a plastic surgeon, not one who does cosmetic work but one whose practice is mostly reconstructive. The EP was happy to have the stress of making the pm look and feel nice off him, and for the plastic surgeon it's just another day at the office, probably the easiest job she had all day. I really don't think it's complicated enough to justify traveling. If your current doc isn't able/willing to bring in assistance, it shouldn't be hard to find someone who is more open to alternative placements.

GA is a big state, are you close to Atlanta? We have a member who doesn't check in often but I can email her if you like. She had her surgeries in Atlanta and her team is great. Jacksonville and Gainesville also have wonderful cardiac hospitals, but really I don't think this is necessary unless you're already close to one of them. You should be able to find help close to home if you ask the right questions.

I just sent her a message, will let you know when I hear back or maybe she'll pop in here.

I went into it expecting to pay the plastic surgeon out of pocket, but insurance covered it.

Check out subpectoral also, where they place it between the pectorals. Pm's are a lot smaller now than when I got my first one so imo submammary is overkill now. If they go lower and deeper than the usual placement, depending on your build, they can often make it disappear without even going all the way under the pecs. The deeper they go, the longer the recovery. It's not bad and I'd choose to do it this way again, but it's definitely a longer recovery than a simple placement.

If you have more questions, let me know!
