First Gym Workout" Ugh

Hi All,
well today is 3 weeks, and I just could not wait one day longer.

I went to the gym.. whooo whoooo.. sorta of :-) As most of you that O I have been speaking with for Moral Support! you know that I am a pop tarte.. I have not Slow.. I am either gogogogogogog or asleep.. However took the 2 kids for a walk, our doxie Romeo, and mastiff Julie, 1/2 mile , was a slow start but the more I walked the better I felt..
So Off to the gym, I got on the elliptical with no arms things and off I went. I did 1 Mile , 15 min, was going to do more . But gladI stopped as my new friend is now very sore. Its very close to my collar bone , I tried like the dickens not to move my upper body.

However I was quite pleased I had not physical issues " weird heart rates other than a bit sluggish and legs like lead in the beginnings I did quite well :-)

I have finally gotten use to the 70 sleep thing " Thanks Donr and Knot, body is adjusting.

So Just a quick touch base to say hi, and ouch :-) ..

Hope all of you are well and rocking and rolling..

Best Cynthia

Wow! That much on the elliptical. They've got me in rehab and I've been driving the nurses crazy because I'm doing so well. Shot my mouth off and the nurse put me on the elliptical. Lasted two minutes. Never could keep my mouth shut.

So I'm impressed you went 15 minutes. No wonder you're sore.

Keep up the good work!

Elliptical

I'm 7 weeks post PM. I tried to begin running again, but really can't regulate my breathing. I'm currently on the elliptical for 45 minutes at a 25% grade. I get tired off and on, but I just slow down my pace for a minute or 2, and continue. Your progress sounds great! Keep going, you'll be back to normal in no time!!

Hi Colleen and Sparrow,

Coleen, you are doing great 7 wks out 45 Min, Rock it Girl :-) , and Sparrow, keep trying, I did have a minor setback. I was so sore after the Elip the next day I almost fainted,I will be 4 weeks out Tuesday, boy time went by fast, But I am not healing as fast as I thought, I am still quite swollen at the PM site, He placed it quite high by my collar bone,I had three things done, removal of the loop, Ep Study and PM, but they were pretty rough. I thought I would be further along my now. I am getting a bit bummed out!
Today I took a shower and tried to blow out my hair and I was in pain all day on the Pm site. Yesterday walked my doxie that things he is a sled driver and that made it really sore.

I am going again tomorrow to try the Elip again with no arms, my stamina seem to be pretty good. I am really going easy as i really at this point dont feel like a ER trip.
and i gained 2 pounds hahaah so that has really ticked me off. As well as getting totally BOARD!

Yes I know I have tons :-) of house stuff to catch up on, but heck what is the fun in that!

I just noticed tonight by my collar bone a " vein" kinda of puffy. aughhh.. I am freaking my self out. I hope that is normal. as the swelling is going down i can see my new friend quite well, " Just great" It looks like I have a miniature flying saucer under my collar bone..

Yep : having my very first pity party.. I will get over it ...

Sparrow: I forgot about the ice.. It did work the first week I will get back to it.

best to all of you !!!

Collar bone

by Colleen - 2014-01-14 06:01:16

Cynthia,
I'm with you, mine is right under my collar bone too. I continue to have some swelling there also, and I don't know if from the positioning of the PM or what, but I have this little "pouchy" area that kind of goes to my armpit. I refer to it as my very small 3rd boob. Hopefully that area settles down for you. I have found that it just takes time. Keep up the good work...sounds like you have an incredibly positive attitude, which is half the battle!!

You know you're wired when...

You run like the bionic man.
