2nd pacemaker in right side

Hello I am a 40 year old man from Spain. I was operated on my second pacemaker for 4 weeks. How many weeks do I have to wait to start playing sports? I have seen in other posts that it is best to wait 6 to 8 weeks. Is it right? Normally playing tennis, using the search've seen no difference between having the pacemaker in the right and left, because I have a pacemaker on the right side and I am right handed. Is that correct? or have some risk.? Thank you and sorry for my bad English

I agree with Tracey. My daughter is left handed and has pacemaker on the left. She does some things left handed and other right handed. Never given much attention to which hand is used for individual sports.

Healing wise if you have had new leads as well as generator box then follow guidelines given by cardiologist when deciding when to return. If you have just had a box change then you should be able to return when you feel ready. My daughters cardiologist told her to give it a couple of weeks and then resume things when she felt ready after just a generator box change.

Thanks

Thanks for the comment, I think I come back to sports in two or three weeks. I´m grateful for your answers. To Alma Annie thanks too.

Once you heal, you can play tennis with whichever arm you want. It makes no difference which side the pacemaker is on.
