Wondering if anyone out there has had rapid heart rates & shortness of breath. I am a runner and I've had my pacemaker since May, I get very short of breath walking up stairs or any increased activity. I just got done wearing another event monitor to capture my episodes. I am just very frustrated.

It does but I only download it every three months. My cardiologist has adjusted it numerous times but the adjustments haven't helped. He is hoping to see more defined detailed with event monitor.
I have similar issues

and sorry, no real answers. But what they've been looking at for me include anemia, dehydration, low blood pressure issues, etc. So if you haven't explored those possibilities, you might look into them.
One other problem that has led to such symptoms for me in the past is a PM setting that determines the spacing between my atrial and ventricular pacing. When they have it set to wait too long to prompt my ventricle to beat, then I have more pronounced symptoms of SOB at least. Not sure if this is even applicable to you, but I thought I would mention it.
Also, I've heard others on this site talk about PM optimization which is done while the patient is engaging in strenuous activities. I'm hoping to get my EP to consider this for me too.
Good luck!
Jenny

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
some confusion
