New PM

Hello Sis,

The Dr sent you home with his best guess on PM settings. Most of the time with a new or replacement PM these settings are good, but occasionally some people need to have them tweaked. If you are having a problem like the thumping, it could be a setting is not perfect for you. So let your Dr know because these things seldom if ever correct themselves and he will have no way of knowing everything is not perfect unless you tell him.

Good luck,

Smitty

The phrenic nerve

The third lead of the biventricular pacemaker is close or touches the phrenic nerve. The doctor or a tech should be able to adjust.

And yes it is annoying. Go to the internet and Google phrenic nerve pacemakers.

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.
