Hi Everyone,
I'm 32 and 2 weeks post op for a PM and an ICD. Everything went well at my 10 day check up on Thursday, but woke up Sunday with a swollen left arm, left chest implant.
Went to the ER yesterday morning and they cleared me for a blood clot. Did an ultrasound all the way from my jugular to my elbow. They told me to follow up with my EPS.
Called the hospital this am, and went in and saw the EPS team. They too checked the ultrasound and cleared me of a blood clot. They put me in a compression wrap from fingers to shoulder and I have to return on Thursday to see the Dr.
My fingers are fat like sausages, all of my joints are sore and skin is tight. Has anyone dealt with any of these issues?
Thank you, and I enjoy reading about all of you!

I am only 4 weeks post and was starting to feel good at about 2 1/2 weeks. Then I woke up with lots of pain in PM site and left arm and left shoulder. Doc told me it was inflammation in my pocket. Gave me anitinflammatories which make me sick, and scheduled my next appointment 6 weeks away. after a week and 1/2 I feel a bit better, but still get spasms and bee stings. You got cleared for clots, so that is good. I would say watch it, take your temperature to check for infection, and go back at scheduled time. Your doc seems on top of it. Hopefully it clears up soon!

I had symptoms after an implantation which sound very similar to yours. Was eventually diagnosed as a blood clot in the sub clavian vein. As they have checked twice for a clot hopefully you are clear of that problem but please keep monitoring it and if still concerned go back to your doctor.Good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery.
