Hi all, I went for my first pm check today with the tech guy. I went armed with questions . He was great and answered all. He did surprise me by saying that in his 11 years of that job I was the only one to have questions. That was hard to believe but other docs have told me the same thing. I have found that they are more helpful if you are interested in you own health. I just always thought that you should be.
I would like to thank all of you for leading me to the questions to ask and telling me to get a report copy.

The tech did not even blink an eye, he just made a copy of the report and told me he enjoyed speaking with me, he also gave me an 800 # to call if I have any other questions. What really made my day was the fact he could not believe I was 70 yrs. old with my IPad full of questions. I love technology.
Did They give you...

It baffles me every day the people that do not seem to want the facts about their lives and the big part they play in keeping healthy. I am a 30 year diabetic with a lot of the side effects it brings. Mostly because I was in denial for the first 3 yrs. now at age 70 I am trying to do what I can to feel well. It is not to late for me to avoid kidey disease, so I will keep on trucking. Lol

Fantastic that he was so helpful. Like you I'm surprised that you would be the first person in 11 years to ask a question! Then again one of my customer's 78 year old dad recently had a pm implanted by the same surgeon who did mine. She knows I had the surgery in May but has never asked me anything about it that might help her dad, and when anyone asks about the surgery, recovery, how her dad is feeling etc she has never once mentioned his well-being. Just the nurses in the hospital, the terrible parking situation, the doctor's hopeless secretary, the home monitoring. The cardio told me their aim is for me to forget it's there - maybe that's easier for some than others. But I still can't imagine not having any questions.
