My dr has a special section on his instruction sheet for golfers. Putting, pitch and chips ok whenever you feel up to it. No raising the arm higher than shoulder level or lifting anything over 10 pounds for 6 weeks/ Wait 3 months for full golf swing.

I am 8 weeks past PM placement

and have been playing for 2 weeks, but not taking the back swing or follow thru any farther than 90 degrees in either direction. Amazingly this is actually helping my game, lol. Doctor said 12 weeks for full swing.

Hi TraceyE,
I couldn't wait to swing a club again and after 8 weeks I was allowed to go for it and swing away, even with a driver. So, I went to a range, got a jumbo bucket and went through every club in my bag. My distance has suffered a bit but that will take some time. I am heading to California in November and I have book several tee times. Take it slow bit push ahead. The only thing I am worried about is what happens if my PM stops working since it is pacing my ventricles 100% of the time.
Best of Luck

It won't quit! If we were going to dislodge a lead, odds are we'd do in the first day or two. The rest is all precaution.

a note, that was the instructions from the ep who replaced a lead with my last replacement. When I got my first implant,I wasn't given any restrictions. If on the rare chance you managed to dislodge it enough that it wasn't pacing at all, you would feel like you did before you got it. Just because we pace every beat doesn't mean the heart won't beat on its own. It will, just slowly.
