ROM Impeded By New Pacer

Hi! I had my original pacer, "Sparky" implanted in 2003 and I had to have 2 revisions to get things right with the placement (laying on the nerve causing my left arm to go numb, and reduced ROM with arm movement.
10 years later: I just had a replacement done 4 days ago, and I started bawling last night when I started to move my left arm and discovered that I have very limited range of motion again. I cannot move that arm across my chest because the pacer is hitting that muscle causing it to stop movement. I am an active 35 yo that works out and I don't want to stop doing things that I love.
I don't want to go down the path again of having to prove that I have limited ROM, yet again! I hate when doctors tell me to just deal with it! I am 35 yo! I don't want to just deal with it! I want to hike, swim (which there is no way I can do that where it is at now), and be active.
Help!

Hi your post made me reply ( I don't normally as I don't have much knowledge in most matters re pm)) but I was interested in what you had to say. I had my pm implanted ten years ago and suffered with limited arm movement as the the pm flipped, my local pm consultant was very impatient with me and told me I was making a fuss, I eventually got a second opinion at a different hospital and the consultant was so understanding, he arranged to reposition the pm and suture in well so I would be able to move arm fully, I was so relieved, however when I went in for the op he was off sick and another doc did the operation, I awoke to a frozen shoulder and limited arm movement ever since, it now feels as if the pm grinds over ribs and muscle and I can no longer swim.i am made by my local pm clinic once again to feel as if I am making a fuss as they say the pm is working so put up with it! but like you just want to have full movement in my arm that doesn't make pm move about. I am sorry I don't have any answers for you but hopefully the wise people of this site will.
