clot

Ok so i have a clot now which i am being treated with blood thinners but heres my question. I guess i grew new veins due to the one being blocked and i hate them, their all over the shouldet and chest on the side of pacemaker, saw the doc today and stated that once my vein clears that those veins should go away. Has anybody else had this happen and if so did urs disappear with time? I know this sounds silly but the appearnce of them really bother me.

The big blue-green rivers that run horizontal from the device? I got them. Didn't know I grew them...I just thought they became more prominent with the device pushing out.

Collateral veins

Let's be honest: If you hadn't grown collaterals or other veins had taken over, you'd be much more bothered - by pain and swelling. It's amazing what veins can do, arteries don't do that or need a really long time. I had a blocked superior vena cava, and therefore you could see veins all over my chest. Looked like a map of rivers on my chest. But I still considered myself to be lucky, because without these veins I had been in even more trouble. After the superior vena cava was re-opened, they faded. Just got to be patient.
