Hi All,
My son is 3 yrs old and had his pacemaker when he was at 8mths old.Recently he had an echo done and the results are as follows;
Normal dimensions,normal function,trivial tricuspid regurgitation and normal right ventricular pressure.
Question,
With regards to trivial tricuspid regurgitation I have done some research online and it's proven to be nothing serious and of little importance.
Can someone on the club please share their knowledge who had a case like this and what was the outcome.
Thanks and appreciate your feedback.

Tricuspid Regurgitation

My daughter has mild to moderate tricuspid regurgitation. Considering there is a PM wire running through her valve it is not really an issue at the present velocity of 2.7 m/s. She was born with other heart defects other than heart block. She has had a issue with her mitral valve since birth which we know can also contribute to changes in the tricuspid valve. My daughter has lived with mitral valve issue since birth and tricuspid regurgitation for some years. It is just monitored and will be considered in the overall picture for any future treatment. To be fair, for over 15 years, we have been warned of the need for mitral value replacement at some point in the future. However, her condition remains stable and does not really cause any outward signs in day to day living Unless some major changes occur we do not feel that she will need any further treatment at least until the end of college if not longer. (Note we are in UK - college age over here is usually between the ages of 16 to 18). We expect her next PM battery replacement will be needed at either 18 or 19.
