Hi newbie from NC here had my icd placed two weeks ago been shocked five times. Anyone else have this problem.

Welcome. I've had my ICD since July 2013 and so far not been shocked but it is probably the drugs I am on that are keeping my heart calm. I go off them end of September and have been told to expect increased activity. Are you taking anything like Amiodarone?

Wow!! Sounds like you got your device just in the "nick o' time"....I've had 2 icd's over almost 9 years and have not been shocked yet...LUCKY ME. I have been paced out of Vtach a bunch , I'm sorry you have been shocked so much. I'm sure you will hear from others who have been shocked many times. Welcome to the club.!!! Bev
