Hi, I'm 23. I got my icd implanted about a year ago whilst i was in Australia after i had a surprise cardiac arrest at work. The surgeons over there did an amazing job, and they did put it under my muscle so it wasn't so obvious, as I'm really little on my top. I still feel really conscious about it though, and I've lost my boobs a bit more since because my muscles have worn away a bit.. I really have my heart set on implants. I never thought about this before, but i just want it to be a little less obvious. I've taken to wearing really padded bras so you don't notice the bump in my chest. Bit this is not practical. Has anyone had this done, and what about getting it done on the nhs. I don't want anything massive i just want a bit extra padding at the top of my breast. I get really sick of all icd pamphlets just taking care of their older patients. I just want a bit of advice that is helpful to my age and lifestyle. If anyone can help please do.

You know you're wired when...
You fondly named your implanted buddy.

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
