I got the idea to write this post while i was at the beach today.. A good thing to know that many cardiologists or doctors forget to say to you ( unless you ask them) is that when you have an ICD you should not swim the following techniques or you should not swim them for a longer period..trudgen or racing stroke, the dolphin stroke..thats what i know.. and the most reccomended swimming style is the back stroke ..beacuse when swimming trudgen or racing stroke there is a chance of pulling your muscle and thus there is a risk of sudden movement or commotion of the electrodes leading from the ICD to the heart.. A good info for these summer days ! :)

Thx for your feedback.. :) Its been a year since my ICD impantation so its also been a year since i swam...Now i feel a lot better when it comes to my shoulder and muscles in that area... And I can tell you that water especially sea water is very calming for me and as recent post was.. After a day at the beach there is no trouble falling asleep ;)
