Saturday night my husband showed me his incision line. Now he had his pacemaker/defib replaced 8-22-2013. There was a spot to right of center that had a little black line under the skin. Next to that was what looked to be an area the size of the head of quetip that was yellow/greenish. I thinking, that it was an in grown hair, picked at it then saw that was something coming out of it. I thought it looked like a small stitch. Pulled it out and put peroxide on it and let it air dry.

The incision line is red and the area where I pulled that "stitch " out of is red. The reddened area that was once the size of the tip of a quetip is now the size of a dime with the whole incision area red.
We saw the cardio electro physiologist today and he gave us te worse story. So that is what I am awaiting they doctored it and I am to watch it.
Anyone else ever heard of that. Per MD if it gets worse the whole thing plus wiring will have to come out and put a new one with leads on the other side. He said the site possibly has been compromised.
BP today for him was 72/58!!! Now I know why he has been so miserable.... But I love him.
