Hi, I'm new here, been lurking around for a while. I had a Medtronic pacemaker placed May 31st for 2 degree heart block that showed up out of the blue. I had/have some difficulty coping with the whole idea, but seem to be getting over that. I went back to work last week, I'm an ER nurse. Today I went to see my cardiologist and he brought my EP doctor in because the past few weeks my heart rate has been increasing and I have had increasing episodes of SOB and palpitations. So we have done a holter monitor and an ECHO. The pacemaker is working properly but now they think I'm in atrial tachycardia and because the rate is around 100 and I'm pacing my ventricles I am feeling the pacemaker pacing me. So we are increasing my beta blocker and I'm following up in 1 week. Its so frustrating. I just want to feel better and have my life back.
