Scar

I have two questions. How long before I can raise my arm over my head and also wondering if it is ok to put vitamin E or Mederma on my scar. It was glued and glue is gone.

I researched Bio Oil and such, but apparently those substances can cause atopic dermatitis. Depends on how sensitive your skin is. Mine is usually pretty sensitive. Tried scar cream similar to Mederma too. Didn't think it really worked (used the entire tube with no visible change). What worked best for me was rubbing a cream with cocoa butter in it (scar was itchy, so this felt good), and self-adhesive silicone scar sheets (purchased from local CVS). This effectively flattened out what had been a raised scar, and kept it moisturized.
