premature beats---almost a fib

I think my pacemaker(implanted last June), works likes gangbusters! After it was installed I began to get ectopics and at one point it seemed like my old enemy,a fib, was visiting again. Now the nurse in telemetry, took me and showed me the monitor she was watching. It showed irratic beats alright but she pointed out a solid sinus wave that was going on behind the forest of crazy lines that afib produces. I took a few deep breaths and my a fib (if that's what it was) subsided;leaving my heart purring like a well-tuned Maserati. I continue to get ectopics, but I can go for days without any. They seem to come back unannounced; then I'm clean again. Breathing right seems to help; avoiding alcohol and panic situations helps too. I am told that I have no heart structural problems or injuries. At 76 I've had pretty good innings, and yet these ectopics really worry me. Any help out there? I can't afford to check out right now--OK?

Yes I have them often, about 12 a minute that shows up on pm. Yes it can feel like Afib. but so long as everything checks out there is no need to worry. Apparently everyone has these , but does not feel them. I think we are much more aware of everything when we have a pm, but really they are nothing to worry about.
