Question:
Do you know how long after surgery, can you get in the water and go for a swim?

I swam in the sea (shallow ish water) four weeks post op. I didnt use any over arm strokes, just gentle breast stroke. I found it helped loosen my shoulder a lot. I had my pacemaker at the end of may and have enjoyed swimming since but I am still sticking to gentle Breast stroke as I haven't got the full range of movement yet.
Good luck

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.

with my doctor, it was six weeks. I went in at 5 weeks, and my pm moved downward while doing backstroke. Good luck and happy swimming... aldeer
