Tat man you asked on my previous posting whether I do the Park runs and I have responded by saying I've never heard of them, had looked them up to see what they were and said that there didn't appear to be such runs in my neck of the woods.. Welllll... I went to the local running club to do a track session on Monday(a week after you mentioned the Park runs to me) and a runner from another club was at the leisure centre asking was I there for the Park run meeting that evening. It transpired that there was a meeting being held to see if a Park run could be established in my own home town!! Spooky or what?!!

.....................great news !..Parkruns are springing up all over the place...my local Newark UK run had 254 participants on its first anniversary a couple of weeks back,...and hey,..an , off-road pb on the course of 30.09 that given a new aortic valve + pm + Statins and all manner of meds is ok by me.

Last evening I did a 5-miler round the grounds of Newstead Abbey Park in Notts...one time home of Lord Byron, the poet...300-odd runners on a blissful UK evening.

I wasn't last.......close though.
