Back on the Podium!

Hi all

I have done 2 races in the last 10 days - a 5k last week and a 5 miler last night. In the 5k I was 2nd in my age group (don't tell anyone that there were only 3 of us in the category!) and won a fiver - whoopydo!). Don't know what position I was last night as they haven't printed the results yet but was pleased with my time - 42.55 ( just over 8 an half minute miling) so getting back nearly to what my times were pre PM. Just want to thank everyone again for your support and encouragement which helped me come to my decision to have the pacemaker (you know who you are).
Tracey - I hope you continue doing some running races - I'm sure you'll eventually get the bug!.

No I've not heard of Parkrun before and have just looked it up -unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any in my neck of the woods.

The experience of having a couple of lengths of wire fed into your heart muscle and an electronic 'box' tucked under the skin is not an insignificant event, but you will survive.
