New Ingenio pacer

Hello,

I am scheduled to have a Boston Scientific Ingenio pacer inserted next week. This will be my 3rd pacer. My previous two are medtronic pacers.
I had a long history of atrial fib, had the open heart maze procedure in 2002, and it was a great success, no more atrial fib, but my SA node was damaged during the surgery so I ended up with sick sinus syndrome and needed a pacer.I've also had atrial flutter, SVT.
I'm wondering if anyone has received this pacer and what they think about it? All info is appreciated.

Thank you Rene

Hey Rene, I’m looking at new PMs and I’m interested in the Ingenio. Like you I’m a full monty Mazer (2001) now afib free but with with chronotropic insufficiency so I’ll be very interested in your post implant experience. Very best wishes for an uneventful procedure.

New Ingenio

Hi I am day four with a new Ingenio, my third pm. I'm walking, added hills today. My two previous pm were also Medtronic. I switched because the Ingenio detects both breathing rate and movement, and I am hoping that the Ingenio will be better for an active person. My medtronics only lasted for 6 years (10 year models) because of my 100% dependence and activity demand. Great so far. Best of luck with your implant.
