I had a pacemaker put in March of 2012. I have had pressure in my chest or diaphragm area everyday since I came home from the hospital. It's not pain just intense pressure. They have done an echo and treadmill and say they can't see anything wrong with my heart but they are not sure what is causing the pressure. The pressure gets intense at times. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this pressure?

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
second opinion

Hi! If your current cardiac medical care has not found the cause by now, I think a second opinion is needed as you are clearly uncomfortable. Also, have you discussed the mystery pressure with your GP, as it could be unrelated to your heart/device though it seems so? Please continue to seek an answer for the persistent discomfort you are experiencing for your health and peace of mind. I hope you get an answer and relief soon. Hopeful Heart
