well done its over, all you have to do now is get better you will be sore for a while it also depends if they put it under muscle that does take longer mine is under muscle im 10 weeks today post pm and im still a tad sore more so with the leads but i feel great like a new lease of life never thought i'd feel like this as i struggled early on. Am sure you'll be ok take things slow and dont rush and like Ian says get out for walks in the fresh air best medicine going. My ID card tells me my lower rate and mode check yours may tell you.
keep in touch.

I'm glad that's behind you. I know right now it's a bit overwhelming but it will get better. Just relax.
I had a weird sensation when I went from lying down to sitting up. I felt the pm would somehow slip. I also was quite sore. I drove after about one week. Went back to work after 2 weeks.

Glad it went well and was not as bad as you thought. Hope the issues you are experiencing soon pass. So far, 24 days since pm fitted it has been positive all the way except for a dry cough I have which may or not be connected.
Apart from that feel great.
Dry cough.

24 days since my Boston Scientific Altrua 60 dual pacer fitted. Everything going great, no bruising, no pain or discomfort to speak off. I have been walking between 4 and 7 miles a day at 3.9mph average religiously.
All going well but last few days have developed dry cough and feel a little tight in the chest, if I push my walking pace, which is around 95bpm on flat as it goes through 105bpm feel a little tight and then is fine up to 133bpm on a steep little hill near my house.
Anyone else experieinced this dry cough, tightness and is it connected to the pacer or have I just picked up a bug ?
Resting pulse sat at 50bpm and BP normal.
You know you're wired when...
You fondly named your implanted buddy.

I love this new part of me, and very, very thankful that this technology exists and I know that it's all only going to get better over time.
Welcome home

Hi Karen...I bet you're so pleased to be back home !!
I remember you were really really scared about the op ... be honest, it wasn't too bad, was it ? I am curious did you have it done with just a local anaesthetic or did they heavily sedate you.. this can affect your recovery.
There seems to be an enormous variation between people in the days immediately after a PM implant .. some walk out of the hospital and resume normal activities almost immediately ( apart from arm-lifting ) others seem to take several days to get accustomed to the PM and the after-effects of the drugs. You should be feeling stronger by the day ... do get out and have some long walks as soon as you can.
Best of luck
Ian
