Has anyone experienced burning at their lead wires? I have had this recently and it felt like a red hot poker there (in my heart)! The medtronics rep did some testing and adjustments at the er, but said there was nothing wrong with the pm.

I had this approx 15 years ago with pacemaker number 1 and my lead was faulty and they changed it
You know you're wired when...
Your ICD has a better memory than you.

I'm 44, active and have had my device for two years. I love it as I can run again and enjoy working out without feeling like I'm an old man.

I'd see the cardiologist also, not just the rep, probably the internist too just to rule out anything else going on. It's easy to blame everything on the pm. The pm working fine just means it's putting out signal like it should. Settings sometimes need changed, leads can get a scar tissue build up or touch a nerve, infection, something else with the heart, even indigestion or a pulled muscle, lots of things could cause it other than the pm.
