5 months ago I had a crt-p fitted , last month it was realised that 2 of my leads were not working and 2.5 weeks ago had to have them reconnected, I feel so very uncomfortable(not painful). it feels like a tight band across my chest, I suspect it is the leads that are pulling. When I went into Theater it was found because pm was loose in the pocket the leads had gone around the pacemaker 9 times which made the leads come out. (if interested google Twiddlers syndrome, I never touch the pm site and never did, I am feeling very anxious, tearful that this could happen again. I find it extremely difficult to sleep because of this discomfort, I am normally a very positive person but this issue is really getting me down. Any suggestions please? x

My pacemaker has ultimately saved mine and my unborn childs life for which I am thankful.
Call your Doctor

Tell them about the tightness across your chest. It could be from being upset but get checked out for your own peace of mind.
The Doctor should have tacked down (with stitches) your device so it does not spin. After 2.5 weeks your leads should be embedded but still follow the restrictions from your Doctor, mainly, do not raise that arm above your shoulder for about 4 more weeks but DO move your arm in general to avoid frozen shoulder. You may know all of this by now, but just in case.
This all takes some getting used to. I had to have a lead revision 2 years after my implant and it was pretty upsetting at the time. I thought I was good for another 8 - 10 years before that happened.
You'll be ok, the worst part is over. I'm sorry you had to go through this again so soon.
