I have a magnetic cover on my iPad with no issues but I tend to keep it at least 6" away from my pm

I wish I could help you. I am in the UK; I'm not sure where you are . I bought it a couple of years ago in a chain electrical sore ( I think it was either PC World or Curry's )

It is black, simulated leather and is nicely padded . It was made in China if that helps to narrow down your search a bit, But there is a danger , that before you buy , Don will smooth-talk you into buying a magnetic one. I fell for it !

Best of luck in your search

Ian

Why get magnetic?

I have a non-magnetic I Pad cover !

It is a fabulous design, didn't cost much and does everything I want it to do.

I don't care if people post on here and claim that they clutch their magnetic covers to their bosoms and have had no problems . I don't ever worry about keeping it 6 " away from me .... why get magnetic ?????

Cheers

covers

I'm more careless than Ian :o) I have a magnetic cover and I often read in bed with my ipad propped on my chest. I tried it out in the store and felt fine so I bought it. I like it because it turns the ipad on and off. I also have a neoprene sleeve and a padded leather case with keyboard. But I like my magnetic one best!

If you already have a magnetic cover, there's no rush to run out and get another one (unless of course, you're looking for an excuse to go shopping, then go for it!). Regular magnets that you find in household items are not going to have any effect on a pm. When in doubt, keep it 6" from your device. The pm has a switch, the worst that can happen is the magnet pulls that switch closed and puts it in test mode. It still paces in this mode. As soon as you get away from the magnet, the switch opens again and it goes back to full function with no harm done. I got my first pm in 1994 and have yet to find anything that affects it. It's industrial magnets we need to be careful of.

Thanks Don

I am using my I Pad right now and the make of the non-magnetic cover is " GOJI " ... probably means ""very safe, very cheap and goes well with pink or purple "in Chinese

It is great to see you back Don as witty as ever, you certainly cheer me up, I honestly don't know what I would have done without this Forum , without you lovely people on here this last few weeks would have been very frightening. As Not sure wh said it, there shoulf be Cardio Rehab, if I did not come online to this, I would have been terrified. Thank youx Beth
Think I will buy myself a nice new Ipad, think pink or Purple lol
