My mom (74 yrs old) had a PM put in March 14th. For the first week or so she would be exhausted, especially on dialysis days and she had a stiff neck. the exhaustion has passed but now she has terrible pain in her neck. She has tried pain meds, creams, heat, ice, she's visiting a chiropractor and no help.
She was wondering if perhaps the neck pain and the PM could be related. she is making an appointment today with her DR.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thank you for your response.
The chiropractor she has been going to has been very gentle. adjusting her neck a little at a time. I will check into a physiotherapist.
She does use her arms and is able to dress on her own. It is the right side of her neck, PM and dialysis fistula are on the left side. her shoulder hurts a little, but the neck is the major pain.
Since the PM was put in (I keep wanting to say "installed"), the pain flares up most during dialysis. I wonder if there could be a connection between the new PM and the dialysis. maybe something wasn't hooked up right. I am not medical and just grasping at anything that might explain it.
