Had my 3 MO post PM check today. Pacing at about 60% atrial and about 2-4% ventricle. Still having bouts of AFIB although they said it was down a little from last time. Overall only about a little less than 1% of the time with heart rates peaking at about 150 to 160 so it wasn't really that bad. The question he asked me was did I want to try to bump up the medication, try something else or just wait it out for the A-fib. I feel of course lousy when I go into afib But it's usually only for a little bit (the longest was 17 min) and had over the last 3 months 30 episodes. I can usually sit down and just let it pass. So right now I choose to just wait and see. They did adjust the settings a little (nothing to do with A-fib) because I felt better on the settings I had before they changed them. so hopefully this well help with the SOB that I've been experiencing more the last 3 mos. when they changed them. and of course they didn't give me a print out report. I don't know what i'm going to have to do to get one because I ask and they really don't want me to have it. oh well. He also talked a little about doing another ablation but I reminded him that he couldn't ablate the left side of my heart due to prior surgery which he promptly retracted and said that if it got really bad then consult with surgeon but i'm not near that point yet. I feel good not as good as I did the first week, but still much better than before so I have no complaints. now if I could just get all the swelling out of my legs but he said that was another issue. not heart related.

Assuming your are in USA. Don't let them get away with it! They are YOUR records. You have a right to copies. And legally, they can't keep them from you.
You have to ask, and no matter what they say, be a broken record. You keep saying "I want my own copy" --nicely--until they give it to you. It might also help to have someone with you who can gently remind them that they don't have the right to refuse.
You should always be polite, but being docile only makes their life easier, not yours, and it's your well-being that's on the line.

to clarify the settings. I had them bump up the rate response so I could exercise more without getting out of breath. however I began to have more episodes of SOB even when not exercising such as climbing my stairs or sometimes doing very little (now that could be the a-fib too??) but I also thought it to be a little too sensitive like when I was in my hubby's truck going down the road my heart will start racing. they still have the rate response up but turned it down slightly along with the sensitivity so it wouldn't be so sensitive.
