Check up

Well I went for my two month interrogation yesterday. The Medtronic tech told me to start a daily walking regiment to see if it would help my physical and mental state. I have given myself plenty of easy time to heal, now the real battle of having a pacemaker begins, trying to get in shape. Now also my INR is always in therapy level, but warfarin is causing me to urinate blood. I can stop warfarin for 24 hrs and it goes away, but returns upon starting mess again...?

I hope you've talked to your doctor about urinating blood. that is definitely not something you want to play with. Are you taking any other medications that have blood thinning properties? some of them do not affect the INR numbers themselves. Due to the severity of my clotting problems and an autoimmune disorder, my hematologist had me on aspirin and coumadin together. Although INR was in the same range on aspirin as without, I was bruising a lot more and started pooping blood. A life threatening GI bleed resulted. Please talk to your dr about these symptoms and evaluate all your medications (your pharmacy may be helpful in that evaluation process too).

...to your Dr. Any time you pass blood - or blood appears where it should not it's a potentially serious problem worthy of a urologist

There are too many things it can be - all of them BAD - so drop everything & call your Dr. RIGHT NOW.

A question - when you pass blood, is it JUST in the beginning of the stream & concentrated, brilliant red, or is it diffused throughout the entire volume of urine.

the reason I ask is that if it's the first situation, it's most likely from your prostate gland & indicates one set of potential problems - an infection called prostatitis; Benign Prostate Hypertrophy; or potentially prostate cancer.

If it's the second situation, it means it is either from the kidneys or from within the bladder - potentially infections, kidney disease, or again one of several types of cancer.

If I read your bio sketch correctly, you are in your early 30's. You are NOT in the primary age zone for the cancers, but all the alternatives are very dangerous.
