I have nothing pertinent to add to the above. Those guys get it right all the time. But, the only other thing is, and get this deep down! YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HEARD AND TO BE CARED FOR - or as my late husband was fond of saying "noncarborundum illigitimi" (don't know if I spelled it right) in other words "don't let the bastards grind you down"
Be scared

Sally: This can be a serious situation.
I'm going to guess at something here. I have bad balance, but I keep wanting to fall to my right, as opposed to the rear.
I know mine is an inner ear problem. But I have no dizziness at all, I just will suddenly pitch to the right.
Inner ear balance problems can come from retaining fluid & excess sodium, as Sparrow told you.
If you have swollen ankles, you are most likely retaining fluid. You probably need a diuretic anyway for the fluid retention.
So, that plus sodium intake reduction could reasonably be expected to help this balance problem.

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!

Thank you to all that have tried to help . i am on water pills , I sleep fine , I have myasthenia gravis, but thats under control with meds, dont drink, dont smoke, eat healthy, thats where i messed up. Too careful . i did file an appeal. have to wait 40 to sixty days. ten years ago had accident injured back. they took too .long to care for me and consequently fell two more times causing compression of spinal. cord. said may loose function of arms and legs. I have a plate in my back. this is why im frightened I know the consequences of delayed testing. I had a good surgeon. The doctors today are helpeless when it comes to insurance companies. they rule. This is not health care What happened tp preventive medicine. All i want is a cat scan not brain surgery. as far as swollen ankles this is new. had open heart surgery valve replacement, but i also had swollen anke when i had compression of cord. i can still think/ what about all the other sick people who cant fight. I will continue to fight for myself and everyone else. i get very upset over unjustices. maybe by writing this it will make someone else aware.of what can happen. Thank you again. I will keep fighting . may not win but never will give up. Sorry so long hope everyone is being taken care of. sally.
